We wanted to create a glimpse into the life of Demelza and Felix through fragmented snapshots of a day through the streets of Brighton edited to the beats of her drum solo. Finalising the piece into a collage of moments and music.

SYNOPSIS
Following a day in the life of Demelza Mather, musician and mother, Mather is a film told through contrast. From the formats, 16mm and digital to the sound contrasting the images, the hard-hitting drums and the images of Demelza and Felix, to the use of black and white and colour.
